Designed by Florence Spurling, the Scout Shawl is a showstopper!
This beautiful colour work shawl was inspired by vintage quilts and is a dream "patchwork" knitting project for Knitfolk. Although it looks intricate, this shawl is an achievable knit that will remain your wardrobe favourite for years to come.
The Scout Shawl mixes both Fair Isle and intarsia knitting. It is knitted sideways from tip to tip, knitting from one block to the next block, twisting yarns as you change. If you love colourwork, we know you will love knitting this shawl.
We have put together a very special kit that includes five beautiful fingering-weight yarns all dyed for us by Madelinetosh and packed in our new yarn project bags. Yarn colours were selected to be as close as possible to the original colours that Florence has chosen.
C1 – 1 skein of Pink Mist Smoke Tree
C2 – 1 skein of Paper
C3 – 1 skein of Librarian’s Dreams
C4 – 1 skein of Joshua Tree
