Come and immerse yourself in a day of colourwork with Kate Dunbar-Tapp, where she will demystify the art of Fair Isle knitting. You will learn basic Fair Isle techniques, look at some examples of Fair Isle knitting (including our glorious Fair Isle bunting) and talk through our favourite patterns. Kate will also show you a demonstration of "cutting the steek".
As part of this workshop, you will have the choice of either knitting a Fair Isle swatch for a needle-book cover
for the more adventurous, you can start a beret, sometimes referred to as a tam, from one of our patterns and kits available on the day.
This workshop is aimed at Intermediate knitters and the adventurous!

Cost: $75.00 which includes, tuition, demonstrations, class notes, needle-case fabric kit, morning and afternoon tea, and plenty of tea and coffee to keep you warm!
What to bring:
*Pen and paper for taking noes.
*For the beret: 3.25mm x 40cm circular knitting needles and stitch markers
*For the Needlebook case: 3.25mm x 60cm circular knitting needles
