Wholecloth Quilts are made with two whole pieces of fabric and are perfect for those fabrics you cannot bear to cut up. By stitching two pieces of cloth together, whether the stitching is simple or complex, highlights the beauty of the fabric itself.
Although you can machine quilt Wholecloth quilts, for this class, Josie will show you how to hand baste and hand quilt two pieces of your choice. We are currently working on our sample which is made in L'uccello La Fauvette , a gorgeous range designed by L'uccello in Melbourne. Totally gorgeous!
You can see some of the selections we have picked as potential choices from our pics. You will have loads of fun choosing your top and back!
We will have fun in this class which will cover fabric selection, hand basting with needle and cotton, formulating a quilting design for your quilt, hand quilting techniques, binding and finishing.
